The room at The View in Shaftesbury was amazing! It felt cozy and inviting, like a home away from home. The bathroom with the shower was perfect for a quick and refreshing start to the day. As a light sleeper, I slept like a baby thanks to the comfortable bed.
The only thing I didn't love was the view from my room. It wasn't very picturesque, but that's just my personal opinion.

The location of the hotel is very convenient attending events in the area, such as weddings at the Town Hall or receptions nearby. the high street location offers easy access to shops and amenities. the accommodation is spacious and well-equipped, with a modern and stylish decor. the kitchen includes useful facilities like an oven and a Nespresso coffee machine, and guests receive a surprise box of breakfast essentials.
The carport at the hotel has a low edge on the roof, which may be an inconvenience for tall guests who have to duck.

I had the most incredible stay at The View in Shaftesbury. The view from the outdoor terrace was absolutely breathtaking, and it was the perfect spot to relax and take in the surroundings. The accommodations were incredibly spacious and beautifully decorated with a Scandinavian/coastal theme. It felt like everything was brand new and the attention to detail was exceptional. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, with a convenient oven and a Nespresso coffee machine. I found everything I needed and more. The surprise breakfast essentials box was a lovely touch, with a variety of items like bread, cereal, and croissants. The location couldn't have been better - right on the high street, yet surprisingly peaceful and quiet. I didn't experience any traffic noise at all. Additionally, the hotel staff were friendly and communication with the host was easy and efficient.
Nothing that I didn't like.

Hilariously enough, I felt like a majestic explorer gazing upon uncharted territories when I stepped onto the balcony of this delightful accommodation. The garden views were simply breathtaking, as if I had discovered a hidden oasis amidst the bustling city. It was like having my own secret garden, a whimsical haven where I could escape from the ordinary and get lost in nature's embrace.
Roof edge low near carport.

The View had a stunning balcony with garden views, perfect for pretending I have a green thumb. Also, the hiking nearby was a great way to burn off those croissants from the surprise breakfast basket.
I just loved ducking under the low carport roof! It's always fun feeling like a giant in a dollhouse.

The decoration at The View was simply delightful with its lovely seaside-inspired decor. The hotel's common areas were spacious and easy to navigate, perfect for senior folks like myself. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful garden, where I could sit and marvel at the breathtaking view. The accessibility for seniors was top-notch, with everything conveniently located and no stairs to climb. It made my stay incredibly comfortable and stress-free.
I would have appreciated more assistance from the staff, especially the younger ones, in providing recommendations for activities suitable for senior guests like myself.

The view from the outdoor terrace was absolutely breathtaking, making our romantic escape even more special. The accommodation was spacious and beautifully decorated in a Scandinavian/coastal style, giving it a fresh and modern feel.-The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed, including an oven and a Nespresso coffee machine.-Conveniently located in the central part of town, the hotel provided easy access to the high street, while still offering a peaceful and quiet environment.
It's important to note that the edge of the carport roof is low, and taller guests may need to duck to avoid hitting their heads. The light sensor near the front door was not responsive enough, causing some inconvenience when trying to find the entrance in the dark.
